7 Insta-Witches Who Make Modern-Day Magick

7 Insta-Witches Who Make Modern-Day Magick | mysticsister.net

Witchcraft has long been a hidden, often solitary, practice, but recently the rituals of modern-day witches are being brought to light by, of course, the Internet. Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter have all become places for witches to share their thoughts and ideas and recipes and tools and all the things that bring magick into our lives.

These places also offer witches the opportunity to connect with one another on a level that we've never been able to before, and that alone has been invaluable to me. I constantly find inspiration and encouragement from my magickal sisters and the #witchesofinstagram hashtag. That being said, I wanted to share a few of my favorite witchstagram accounts with you. (Yes, I did just combine witch and Instagram into witchstagram. Deal with it.) The number 7 has long been associated with the spiritual, so here are 7 ladies who's connection to the spiritual cannot be denied.

1. Deanna @ofstickandstone

Deanna is a kickass tarot reader, crystal mama, and southern Appalachian soul. Her photos are always so beautifully arranged and meaningfully thought out, and she makes me want to run out and buy more decks and crystals and jewelry even though I'm totally broke. She also never fails to honor those who come to her for healing.

2. Lindsay Mack @wildsoulhealing

I absolutely had to include my great mentor and dear friend Lindsay Mack on this list. Her Instagram channels are always filled with the right medicine for whatever is going on in the crazy life. She never shies away from her imperfections, and she uses them to teach us that our imperfections are the very things that make us beautiful.

3. La Abeja Herbs @laabejaherbs

La Abeja Herbs, run by Sophia Rose, is a necessary account to follow for any herbalist. It's chock full of herbs and flowers and explorations and the ins and outs of running a business. Even if you're not an herbalist, La Abeja Herbs will make you want to become one.

4. Christianna @croneofwands

I only recently started following Christianna, but even so, I feel like I can call her a friend. We followed each other around the same time, and we go back and forth showering each other with love and compliments and witchy wisdom. Her tarot insights are so lovely, and I'm madly in love with her geometric candles. She's an absolute delight, and you're missing out if you don't connect with her.

5. Sierra Selene @rosecityritual

I'm really obsessed with the way Sierra blends tarot and florals. Like, really obsessed. She even started a hashtag to share floral-specific spreads, so definitely check out #FloraandFortune. She also offers readings with the Lisa Frank tarot deck because she's amazing. Basically she's a gift to mystics everywhere.

6. Poison Apple Printshop @poisonappleprintshop

Adrienne Rozzi, the woman behind Poison Apple Printshop, illustrates the dark and shadowy aspects of the occult. She's crazy talented, and she's got pins and patches and prints, oh my! She even illustrated a grimoire for herbal witches, aptly titled The Hedge Witch's Herbal Grimoire. She even sells some Game of Thrones-themed work, because she's just that good.

7. @midwintercrone

I adore the light side of mysticism, but I'm also enamored with the dark, and @midwintercrone explores that darkness so well. Her beautifully haunting portraits show the depth of what it means to be human as well as how we exist within another's life. I also can't get enough of her fabulous house and all the wonderful curiosities she possesses. Many people fear their shadow selves, but she finds the beauty in hers.

So there you have it! It was so difficult to choose only seven people for this post, and it was even more difficult to choose just a few photos from each of them to share with you. They are all so amazing, and I hope you check them out! If you want to see who else I get inspiration from, explore who I follow on Instagram as well as the #witchesofinstagram hashtag. There are way more inspiring witchy women out there than I could fit in this post. And if you have any good suggestions of people I should check out, let me know in the comments!
